Thuy Nga "Celebrating Vietnamese Heritage" Essay Scholarship Awards

THUY NGA proudly debuts its First Annual THUY NGA-PARIS BY NIGHT CELEBRATING VIETNAMESE HERITAGE ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS open to all Vietnamese-American junior and senior high school students in the U.S. and worldwide.

THUY NGA will present TEN scholarships, each at $1,000.00 usd to TEN high school students who are selected by our distinguished panel of judges.

Eligibility Requirements:

1- Students of Vietnamese heritage. (One or both parents of Vietnamese descent)

2- Open to all Vietnamese-American high school students grades 11th and 12th

3- Students must have minimum 3.3 GPA. Grade verification submitted per letter from school representative OR submit grade report directly to THUY NGA in envelope with unbroken school seal on back of envelope.

4- Submit an ESSAY of 500 - 1000 words on ONE of the following topics:
a) WHAT's wonderful about being Vietnamese-American?
b) WHY are you proud of your Vietnamese Heritage?
c) WHO do you admire most in your family and why?
d) IF you've been back to Vietnam, describe what you've learned from your trip.
e) HOW has your Vietnamese upbringing helped you deal with any adversities in your life?

5- Please use THUY NGA CELEBRATING VIETNAMESE HERITAGE Form below.
Must submit form with essay + grade verification letter from school.

6- DEADLINE: Friday, NOVEMBER 17th 2006
Completed applications must be postmarked on or before deadline date.
